All international students must now apply through the same <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-student-visa\/\"><strong>Study Permit<\/strong><\/a> system.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada provides expedited&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/canada-student-visa\/\">Study Permit<\/a>&nbsp;processing for international students from key markets via the Student Direct Stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SDS includes applicants from:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Antigua and Barbuda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brazil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>China<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colombia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Costa Rica<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>India<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Morocco<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pakistan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peru<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Philippines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Senegal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saint Vincent and the Grenadines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trinidad and Tobago<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vietnam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Do I Qualify for the Student Direct Stream?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The SDS is available to candidates living in&nbsp;one of the above countries&nbsp;wishing to study in Canada at a post-secondary designated learning institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must submit upfront proof of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An acceptance from a post-secondary designated learning institution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Living outside of Canada when the application is made<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition payment for the first year of study, if the candidate is planning to study outside of Quebec<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) in the amount required for the candidate\u2019s province or territory of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An attestation of issuance of the candidate\u2019s Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) from the Minist\u00e8re de l\u2019Immigration, de la Francisation et de l\u2019Int\u00e9gration\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is only for those planning to study in Quebec<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A medical exam before the candidate applies (if needed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A police certificate before the candidate applies (if needed)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The most recent secondary or post-secondary school transcripts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The minimum score required for one of the qualifying language tests<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Canada Covets International Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada views international students as key new permanent residents, given their age, Canadian education, Canadian life experience and language ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Canada&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/express-entry-immigration-2018\/\">Express Entry system<\/a> includes extra points for international graduates from Canadian universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the Extra CRS Points for Canadian Education?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><b>Education Level<\/b><\/td><td><b>Number of Points<\/b><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>High School<\/b><\/td><td>0<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>One or two-year post-secondary<\/b><\/td><td>15<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Three-year post-secondary, master\u2019s, professional degree or doctorate<\/b><\/td><td>30<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Get a Post Graduation Work Permit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>International graduates can also access the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/post-graduation-work-permit\">Post Graduation Work Permit<\/a>, allowing them to work after graduation.
