private sector business in Canada.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After spending some time in Canada, candidates and their families can transition to permanent residency.<\/span><\/p><h4><b>Federal Self-Employed Visa Canada<\/b><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The federal<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/self-employed-programs\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self-Employed Visa Canada<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is designed for individuals with relevant self-employment experience who wish to become permanent residents after setting up a business in Canada.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To qualify, applicants must demonstrate both the intention and the ability to create their own Applicants for this investor visa must have the intention of settling in the French-speaking province of Quebec.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Successful investor visa applicants are issued a selection certificate from Quebec for Canada immigration, which allows them to obtain Canadian permanent residency following health and criminality examinations by federal immigration authorities.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The primary requirements are:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">French language proficiency;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Legally acquired personal net worth of $2 million;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two years of suitable management or business experience within the five years preceding the application;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mandatory residency;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum investment of $1.2 million into a passive government-guaranteed investment for a period of five years bearing no interest;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minimum high school diploma;<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Intention to settle in the province of Quebec after getting the investor visa.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4><b>Quebec Immigrant Entrepreneur Program <\/b><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/quebec-entrepreneur-program\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quebec Immigrant Entrepreneur Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aims to recruit individuals who have the skills and experience to operate a business in the province. The conditions to apply are different depending on the chosen stream.<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stream 1<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This stream consists of managing a business in Quebec that the candidate created alone or with other partners (of which only 3 can be foreign nationals), with support from a business accelerator, a business incubator or a university entrepreneurship centre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stream 2<\/span><\/i><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To apply under this stream, the entrepreneur must control at least 25% of the shares of a new enterprise, or at least 51% of an acquired enterprise, which must have a value equivalent or higher than the funds needed to start the business project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The candidate must prove that they have legally acquired a net worth of $900,000, alone or with their spouse if applicable.<\/span><\/p><h4><b>Quebec Self-Employed Program <\/b><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To qualify under the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/immigration.ca\/the-quebec-self-employed-program\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quebec Self-Employed Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, applicants must meet the following conditions:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have two years of applicable experience in the profession they intend to exercise in Quebec.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Possess a personal net worth of $100,000.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have sufficient settlement funds to support themselves and their family.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide a start-up deposit of at least $50,000 if the self-employed candidate is based in the metropolitan area of Montreal, and $25,000 if the candidate is located outside
