The required match depends on the TEER (Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities) level of your job offer:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>TEER 0 or 1 job offer:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Work experience must be in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>TEER 2 job offer:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Work experience must be in TEER 1, 2, 3 or 4<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>TEER 3 or 4 job offer:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Work experience must be in TEER 2, 3 or 4<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>TEER 5 job offer:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Work experience must be in the same 5-digit NOC code<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Special Rules for Healthcare Workers<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Healthcare workers with experience in NOC 31301 (Registered Nurses and Registered Psychiatric Nurses \u2013 TEER 1) can receive job offers in related occupations like:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NOC 33102 (TEER 3): Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NOC 44101 (TEER 4): Home support workers and caregivers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exemption for Graduates of Local Institutions<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You do not need to meet the work experience requirement if you studied full-time in the community and:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completed a two-year or longer program, received your credential within the past 18 months, and lived in the community for at least 16 of the last 24 months<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earned a master\u2019s degree (or higher) in two years or less, received the degree within the past 18 months, and lived in the community for the duration of your studies<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Note:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This exemption does not apply if more than half of your program involved language study or distance learning, or if you are obligated to return home after receiving a scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Educational Requirements<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must have either:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Canadian secondary or post-secondary credential from a designated learning institution<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A foreign credential shown to be equivalent to a Canadian one, as proven by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) that is less than five years old<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting a Job Offer<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before applying for permanent residence, you must first secure a job offer from an approved employer in one of the participating communities. Each community maintains its own list of designated employers, available on their websites.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employer Requirements for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To hire skilled foreign workers under the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), employers must be officially <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">designated<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by one of the participating communities. Designation confirms that the employer meets specific standards and is committed to supporting newcomer integration.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Becoming a Designated Employer<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each RCIP community is responsible for designating employers in their area. Designation also allows employers to hire through the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot, if applicable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be designated, an employer must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Have operated continuously<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the participating community for at least two years<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Be in good standing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with employment standards and occupational health and safety legislation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Operate within a priority occupation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as defined by the community&#8217;s economic development goals<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Conduct at least 75% of their business<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> within the community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Comply with the federal employer compliance regime<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If an employer has recently relocated to the community or is newly established, they may still be designated if the community determines the business has made or will make a significant economic contribution.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional Designation Conditions<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designated employers must also:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Complete free onboarding and intercultural competency training<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Agree to support the settlement and integration<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the foreign worker and their family<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who Cannot Be Designated<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following types of employers are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not eligible<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for designation:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consulates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Staffing or employment agencies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employers controlled or owned by the candidate or their spouse\/common-law partner (including indirect ownership of more than 50%)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employers offering work in adult services (e.g. striptease, escort services, erotic massage)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Employers with non-genuine job offers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Businesses with unpaid administrative penalties<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Businesses owned by licensed immigration representatives<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These criteria help ensure that job offers are genuine and that both the employer and community are well-positioned to hug.\u201d<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Designated Area:<\/span><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible, employers must operate within the official Pictou County
